It seemed an other PDF printer (NOVA Pdf) was installed on the system. Deleting this printer from the printers did not have any result. Complete uninstalling this NOVA Pdf printer from Start > Programs > Nova PDF > Uninstall and next rebooting the server worked for us. btw, pdfinst.exe seems to be a renamed install.exe

The actual printer is a Dell 3115 and is being redirected on the Windows Server 2008 R2 box. It is using the HP 2800 printer driver instead of the Dell driver I installed. I had the user log off (he cannot print PDF’s to his Dell printer which is attached locally) and I removed the driver. Once he logged back in, the driver showed up again.
