This is a great value lamp for people who want to ride at night with confidence. Most bike lamps have a center dot that is bright, with the rest of the area dim. Brighter lamps have a larger dot and better side illumination. This lamp falls in the latter category.
The MJ-808E is rated at 1000 lumens at full power. Two additional light settings plus one strobe setting are available. The highest power 1000 lumen setting will run about 2.5 hours or more depending on the weather, in particular how cold it is. To access the other light settings, simply push the on / off button to go to the next low setting.
